In the early part of his career Carl trained and worked as an Architectural Technologist before graduating University with a BA in Architecture, a Diploma in Architecture and a Post Graduate Diploma in Architectural Practice – which means that he brings both the technical skills and design flair needed to all projects.
Carl is a Chartered member of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), registered with the Architects Registration Board (ARB) and an Accredited Architect in Building Conservation (AABC). He is also a member of the Institute of Historic Building Conservation (IHBC) and the Ecclesiastical Architects and Surveyors Association (EASA).
He established Soul Architects in 2009 after working for 16 years with a leading national conservation practice. In fact, his early career in conservation fostered his love of old buildings, and he is passionate about conserving them.
Carl has extensive knowledge of historic buildings and their surroundings and understands that designs are subject to constantly evolving issues such as planning legislation, faculty, listed building consents and building regulations. He is a creative thinker; he likes to explore alternative solutions to problems and has an open mind about what will work best.
We are architects who care about the things you do, and we are committed to delivering quality projects, on time and within budget.
